What is Non-surgical Spinal Decompression?

Non-surgical decompression is a type of motorized traction that helps relieving certain types of pain and pressure by gently stretching the spine.

Gently stretching the spine changes the force and position of the spine. These changes takes the pressure off the spinal discs, by creating negative pressure in the disc. As a result of these changes bulging or herniated discs may retract, taking the pressure off the nerves and other structures in your spine. When the pressure if off the nerves and other structures this helps the body promote movement of water, oxygen and nutrient-rich fluids into the disc so they can heal.

How does Non-surgical Spinal Decompression work?

You will not need to take off any of your clothing or need any type of specific clothing for spinal decompression. First you will lay on the spinal decompression table which is just like other tables you see in doctor’s offices. Next, we fit a harness around your pelvis and the trunk of your body. They physician then operates the computer and together you will create a specialized treatment. A typical treatment can last 30-45 minutes depending on the treatment plan.
